I also talk about why some people will be able to retreat to the country. I predict that this will mean an increase in vacation home sales – and suburban home sales and bit of a retreat from the urban centers, as well.

Once we understand the situation we are in, then we can start to figure out ways to survive and to thrive.
I do believe that it is possible to shift the way we design our homes to make surviving the pandemic more possible, and to make surviving being cooped up in the house with our families less stressful.
Thinking about solutions to these kinds of problems is part of what an architect does.
