Transforming problem houses into Dream Homes

ADUs and Extended Families

One of the most common reasons my clients chose to build an accessory dwelling – either a backyard cottage or in-law unit, is for either their elder parents, or for their adult children with kids of their own.

Building an accessory dwelling on their property allows them to have two or three generations of their family all living together – but with their own living spaces.

If your parents are getting older and need to be closer to you, or if you want to see your kids and grandchildren more often, building an accessory dwelling might be right for you.
