Transforming problem houses into Dream Homes

Benicia House – Project Progress

One of the project’s in my studio is a new house in Benicia, California. It is a small, 800 square foot, 2 bedroom house. Follow me as I visit the site.

Because of the shelter-in-place order, I haven’t been able to visit the site until recently.

The builder has already located the house on the site, poured the foundations, framed the floor, and started the rough plumbing. Observing the construction progress and quality is part of what an architect does for you.

We are waiting on an inspection. Once we get the inspection, the builder will be able to start the framing for the walls and roof.

The house was designed by Oregon architect, Nir Pearlson. I am acting as the Architect of Record for the project. This is also a New Avenue Homes project. I am a New Avenue Homes partner architect.
