The 5th in my series of videos about the architectural project process, this video is about Construction Documents. Some still call them “blue prints”, but they are no longer blue.
Some people think that this phase is the only thing that architects do. There are two common misconceptions about architects.
Often people think we only make “pretty drawings” that have no footing in the realities of function or construction. This is completely wrong. Everything we do is based on what our clients want, what building and zoning codes allow, and what can actually be built.
Or they think that we only make drawings for permits and construction. And while this is a sizable portion of what we do for our clients, it isn’t the only thing we do. But, in this video I discuss Construction Documents, what is in them, and why they are important. Check out the video!
