The American Institute of Architects (AIA), one of the professional organizations for architects, has a program they call “look up” to encourage non-architects to look up at the buildings around them to see what architects do.
I recently had reason to visit the San Francisco City Hall, to record a document for one of my clients, and I used the opportunity to “look up” at the dome. It is simply stunning.
Take time to look up and look around and enjoy the beauty around you. Some of it is because of architects.
