Transforming problem houses into Dream Homes

What does “modern” mean to you?

I realize that the word “modern” is one fraught with emotion for many people. They think “modern” means either boring or expensive or self-indulgent. When I think of “modern”, I think of wonderful, light filled spaces that have a range of experiences and are full of color and texture and function well for the people who live or work there. So I recorded this short video to talk a little bit about what I mean when I say “modern”.

This video is less than 4 minutes long and has some cool images of projects that inspire me and of some work that I have done so that you can see examples of what I mean when I say “modern”. If you like what you see in this video, maybe we could work together!

I think the screen capture is of a higher quality than the previous video I made. I think the sound is also a bit better in quality. But there is some weirdness in my presentation software which I hope you will excuse. Making these videos is more complex than one would think. The process is kind of fun, and allows me to be a bit more “present” – you can hear me! – in the presentation. So I’ll keep on working to improve them.
