Transforming problem houses into Dream Homes

Project Revisited

A couple of years ago friends hired me to help them bring their 1930, vaguely Craftsman style bungalow into the 21st century.

Among other things, they wanted a new kitchen. They wanted the kitchen opened up to the dining room.

It was a fun project. They were very hands on in the decision making process.

Whenever we get together at their place, it always makes me happy to see how they’ve settled into the redesigned and reimagined house.

Not too long ago we joined them for dinner on Saturday along with another friend. There were kids running around, and we all gathered in the kitchen while they finished up cooking. It was awesome to gather for a meal with friends, and to see how well the house works when it’s full of people and the kitchen is being used.

It makes me happy to see them so happy in the home we designed.
