Transforming problem houses into Dream Homes

Random Photo #12: Cheers on Christmas Eve

2021 Random Photo Series

As a way of rounding out the year, I have decided to share 3 random photos from my phone each week, along with a discussion about why I took the picture. This might give you a sense of how I think and who I am.

Do you enjoy a tipple?

I do.

Wine and cocktails are my preferred tipples. Beer and cider give me gout more often than not. But wine and liquor don’t seem to bother me that way.

This picture is of a Manhattan I mixed not long ago.

My Manhattan recipe is a simple one:

2 parts bourbon,

1 part red sweet vermouth

Several dashes of blood orange bitters

a splash of maraschino cherry juice

one or two (okay, it’s Christmas, so two) maraschino cherries

pour all in a glass with the ice and enjoy.

I raise my glass to you and yours this holiday season. I hope your holiday is happy and safe and spent with those you love. Here’s to it, and a fine and festive 2022!

Cheers,
